[ There was a blank look on Haruhi's face as she sat behind Kyon at school. It was almost as if she had lost all feeling, and she didn't know what to do. She was back, she was here. Yet it made no sense at all.
Her memories were jumbled, and she didn't know if she was to believe anything anymore. She was told the truth back there, in that world - that town - by Kyon himself.
"I am John Smith."
And the mere fact that he was shook her whole world and broke it apart. Everything she knew was a lie. Things were definitely exciting, and she was completely unaware of it all. But there was still one question left unanswered.
Why her?
Why was she 'chosen' to see these things happen right in front of her? To have everything she wished for? Was there a reason?
So, after school, Haruhi sits on a chair alone, looking out the window towards the sky. ]

[ Of course that's a lie, and he knows it. Her voice is completely devoid of all emotion, and she honestly doesn't want to talk about it. Or anything.
She knows that she's not supposed to remember that place. Yet, she does. ]

[ She tries to sound enthusiastic, but it's obvious that she honestly isn't at all. She can't do this. She can't... be herself around him, especially not now. ]

[ That's a lie, but she's retorting in order to stop herself from thinking about that place. She doesn't want to even mention it unless Kyon himself brings it up somehow. ]

(What does it even take to entertain this girl?)

[ Not a rhetorical question, honestly. She wants a legit answer. ]

And what would that be?

[ Her head drops before she laughs it off, giving him a huge, fake grin. ]
That's okay though! It's fine. I didn't expect you to know, anyway...

[ She'll shake it off, standing up now. ]
I'm leaving.

[ She sighs, giving her hair a flip. ]
You really don't remember, do you?

[ There's a slight pause as she hesitates to say the name of that world. She doesn't want to. If he knows, he knows. And if he doesn't, well. ]
You told me everything there. [ A beat. She's not exactly sure if it was 'everything'... ] Or, mostly everything, anyway.

(... The closed space? But that was ages ago. And all I told her is that she looks sexy in a ponytail.)

[ Her voice cracks a bit, as she gives him a nostalgic smile, her eyes welling in tears. ]
But I know better now. I wanted you to remember, but I guess you didn't. That's okay, though. After all, I already know enough.
Right, John?

(Okay, I'm lost. Even more lost than usual. Could someone please explain this to me? Nagato? Koizumi? I'll even accept Asahina (big). And did she seriously just call me "John"?)

It's okay. I'm... fine. I'll be fine.

[ Or well. ]
Well, maybe not like Mikuru-chan can, or you, but you get the point. Anyway, I'm going home. If you want to come too, I won't mind.
